Student Spotlight Andy Hernandez
Andy Hernandez ’20 loves working in the athletic training room. “I feel God is telling me to be an athletic trainer because I’m so passionate, and helping an athlete progress always makes my day,” she says.
The kinesiology major from Pasadena took a sports medicine class in high school and plans a career in the field. “I go to a lot of games to observe and treat any injuries,” she says. “I’m always there on the sideline.”
Andy values the sense of community at Westmont and her close relationship with her resident assistant and professors. “Everyone here is very supportive and generous with their time,” she says. “The support system is unbelievable. Here at Westmont, we are affiliating ourselves with Christ and putting Him in the center of everything, and that was what I needed. It has really helped my education, and it inspires me to help others.”
